New Brinsworth Sixth Form Students Continue Upward Trajectory with Another Strong Year of Results
Students at New Brinsworth Sixth Form are celebrating another strong set of results, continuing a sustained period of improvement that has seen outcomes rise year after year and enabling students to progress to university, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
Results for both A Level and Applied General qualifications have gone from strength to strength, improving for a third consecutive year. Students have also made very good progress from their starting points at the end of Year 11, demonstrating the positive impact of the support, teaching and opportunities available at the sixth form.
A Level students achieved a 99% pass rate, with 45% of grades awarded at A-B* and 24% of students achieving the highest grades of A-A*.
Students studying Applied General qualifications also performed exceptionally well, recording a 99% pass rate, with 57% of grades awarded at Distinction or Distinction*, a significant improvement on the previous year.
These results build on the strong progress made since New Brinsworth Sixth Form joined New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT) and reflect the continued commitment to raising standards and improving opportunities for all students.
These figures may improve slightly as exam boards process requests for reviews and remarks.
Becky Smith, Head of Sixth Form at New Brinsworth Sixth Form, said:
“We are incredibly proud of our students and everything they have achieved this year. These results reflect their hard work, determination and ambition, as well as the unwavering support and dedication of our staff.”
“It is particularly pleasing to see our results continue to improve year after year, with students making very good progress from their starting points. This demonstrates the positive impact of the high expectations and personalised support that are at the heart of our sixth form.”
“We are delighted to see so many of our students progressing to exciting next steps and wish them every success as they move on to university, apprenticeships and employment.”
These outcomes highlight the success of the improvements implemented since joining NCLT and provide a strong foundation for future cohorts.
